I made my antenna a shorty of about 14inches about 4 days ago. It was very easy and I have no reception issues at all.. The only problem is that I regret the fact that I didnt do it sooner.. So be smart dude and save yourself $20+

I am wanting to get a shorty antenna also.....really leaning towards just cutting my current one down some. From what I understand, it works just the same. I would most likely go with 8-9 inches......to get a sleeker look.
