Welcome to the Mustang Forums!
You don't have to buy a GT Bumper for duals. You can do like most of us here have done.....make a cut on the left side using this template;

You can get duals between $300-600. Ford Racing Performance Parts do sell a V6 Conversion kit. If you know someone who can get it for you at wholesale, you could save a lot of $$$.
Here's a link to it;

Before this setup was offered from Ford, I bought my conversion kit from V6Mustang Stuff. I got Pypes Performance X-pipe, mid pipes and I bought two GT Takeoffs from a guy on this forum.
To be honest, you would be crazy not to get the parts from Ford. Their clamps are much, much better than what Pypes makes...but if you can't get it for wholesale and you are on a budget, then purchase the Pypes setup.
Good luck!
Post some pictures of your car.

RE: Bought new Stang....now what
well i would go for the dual exhaust, you can always leave the bumper that you have on and just measure the cut out for the single muffler and mach that on the other side, since you dont like the gt bumpers. the best thing about a mustang other than the fact that its a mustang is that there are sooo many things you can do to make it unique. have fun w it. and welcome to the forum.
