Installing parts of the C300 kit. Have questions
OK, About removing the rear spoiler. I unbolted it but that sucker is on there. Is it 3 M'ed also under the to pedistal mounts? What is the best way to remove it??
As for applying the 3M tape on the parts. It is in the 50's here in my area. Will the 3 M tape still stick or should I be worried about application.
Thanks.

They are stuck on there. You can use a little force and/or use the string trick and runa peice of stringbetween the parts. The smallerdia. the better. Then use the any ofcomponds as Leaf stated to get the remaining junk off. High 50's.... hum.........You should be good but the surface being really clean is the most important part IMO.... Good Luck.

Hello-
I would just make sure everything is free of dust, grease, wax,and oil (fingerprints) The adhesive spray is a great promoter for adhesion and I would (just for extra insurance) after everything is prepped and clean warm the area to be adhered to with a hairdryer. Then press and hold for a few minutes the part being applied and release. DO NOT drive for at least 24 hours after parts are adhered to the car. If you have a space kerosene heater (or like) in the area and leave it on for as long as you feel necessary to calm your anxiety or nerves. Lastly take your time and get it done right the first time as once you adhere the parts they WILL STICK!!!!!! Hope it helps and cant wait for the pics of the final result!!!!!!!!!! J

RE: Installing parts of the C300 kit. Have questions
thanks for the assistance.
Well after I took out the parts in the sunlight to put on the car. I installed the side skirts and exhaust tips. Look Awesome..But in the sun I have found that the side scoops ( which are now 3 M'ed on have light spots in the paint on the top, and the Rear vallance has some bad spots also that must be addressed and most likely repainted[:@]. The hood and front bumper will be done next week. )
Wish me luck with the painter as I am starting to have doubts[:@]
I will keep you all posted.
Thanks again Jason

Don't worry Dude....it'll all come together...... I had myself worked up into a frenzy when I was getting the kit put on my car. My body shop person did a pretty good job, took about 4 weeks total, which really wasn't that bad. Only thing is, I had the car go into the shop the first of July, so I lost out on 4 good weeks of summer!
