I'm having my v6 rockers painted....i thought that with a good sanding and primer that you would get the smoothness

Possibly a REALLY dumb question here, but what is the difference b/t the V6 and GT rockers? Just the fact that they are painted? Or are the GT ones bigger/etc.?
GT's are painted with a smooth finish.

V6's are un-painted with a textured finish.

And if you can get Legend Lime rockers, DO IT, it took me 4 months to get Windveil Blue rockers.
Thanks - that's what I thought, but with all the activity I see on the subject, I thought there was more to it that I was missing. So, it's truly a matter of taste on this one. IMO I like mine in black since it goes with the whole Vista Blue and black theme I have on my car. I'm lookingat getting the CDC Chin Spoiler in black as well, so it makes sense for me to keep it that way. If you are going with the GT bumpers though, definitely makes sense to match it up with the painted rocker panels.

I had mine painted. You would have to get on your hands and knees and get real close to notice that they were textured and not smooth.

Get them while you can. Install is only about 20 min. each side and they look good.

I had GT rockers on my car when it was stock
I had similiar concern... It does go lower then the front and rear but no worries
it will still look good [sm=smiley20.gif] plus it will make the car seem lower

I'm pretty sure those are just deep dish chrome/polished bullitts, likely the 99-04 variety guessing by the shape of the spoke.
