i'm contemplating a shaker hood system from CDC, but i'm worried about rain/snow/dirt getting in through the hood opening. does the system have some sort of protection from the elements?
Not to get off topic or anything but what %tint do you have?

I love my Shaker but I installed it myself. Read Tacobill's write up and do it yourself, it really isn't that hard.

Good luck with your Shaker install!
It was one of my have-to-have mods I did to mine.
Brent,Dave & Seth are great guys, they'll do you good. Be sure you pick their brains while you're there, they all know the newer Mustangs well.
I've had mine on over a year now & water, snow, etc has not been an issue with mine.
Be sure you post pics once you join the Shaker club.

Sweet deal, they are listed for $800 on their page... How'd you land that price?

I'm not sure. I got a postcard in the mail that said they were having a 15% sale. Maybe it ended. I am still waiting for it to arrive. With a little bit of luck I'll be cutting a hole in my hood on Saturday.
