Hey guys,

Just bought a manual 2008 Vapor Mustang GT. It's flippin sick. The only thing(and yes I mean only) I don't like and understand is why when you turn on your lights, the interior dashboard lights turn from bright white to a dull green. I understand they wanted to make it look retro but in my opinion its just so muchclearer when it's bright white. And for someone who turns on their headlights even during the day I bothers me.

My question is if anyone knows how to get to the green LED's behind the dash to change them to another color. I dont have the upgraded ambient lighting package that lets me change the color to anything I want so if anyone knows how to manually get to the LED's it would be a great help...

yeah if you have the mycolor cluster, you can change it to any color you want.. including a brighter white than it usually shows.

Read the owners manual, it is one of the first things I do when I get my new cars home.

The ambient package has nothing to do with the dash lights. You need to know if you have the interior upgrade package (IUP). If you do, you can change the color any time you want. It tells you how in the owner's manual.If not, see the link above.
By the way, I have Vapor too. It's a great color.

You can change the color of the main dash lights (speedo & tach), but the radio, a/c, etc all stay green, even with mycolor

thanks for the replies. And i thought that with the ambient light package also gave you the ability to change the dashboard color. I thought it went hand and hand with the interior upgrade package. But either way i have neither of them but i might just go ahead and purchase the aftermarket mycolor in order to change the dash.
