Default Good practices for polished aluminum

I have aluminin lips on my Boss 226 rims. Are there any good practices on how to keep these looking as good as possible? It seems now that I would have to polish them every week to keep them awesome.

I use a producet called "BLUE LUSTER", It comes in a blue plastic can. it brings the polished aluminum to a chrome finish that lasts about 3 weeks on my choppers S&S engine and any other polished aluminum part on the bike.
It works great, and has a protectant in it. It doesnt need that much work to get a good chrome like shine to the aluminum either

The best practice would be to send them back and get them chromed. Polish is a constant up keep and a pain in the butt. Had them on my Marauder.

Don't hit curbs in parking garages or when parallel parking?

Or clear coat them. That way they'd look like polished aluminum, instead of chrome.

treat them as you would the paint on your stang...use microfiber cloths and the mother's polish...which is what I use for chrome.

Try checking out a Hot Rod parts shop and see if they carry a product called Zoops. Its a process for polished wheels that last about a year.I used it a while back on a set of Torque Thrust D's on my old Rambler.I found a link...its great stuff.
