I thought it would look sharp without the mesh, just glad you didn't have to cut it out. So what did you use for the backing? I can't really tell from the pics.

Original grill stays in place to use the Heritage Grill. Just need to drill a few tiny holes that won't show if Heritage Grill is removed.

Well I contacted the company (before I realized that the mesh was optional) and their response was that it would be too difficult to make a grid-style grille and that nobody would buy them because they would have to be installed by autobody shops. Thanks for biting the bullet and letting us know that the mesh part isn't necessary. I may just end up buying one now.

Oh, and I agree, it looks VERY good.
