Default so evryone who has duals has bought new bumper

ok so one of the most popular mods for our pony is thegetting duals. bought our stock bumperdoesnt have a second opening for the other muffler. so does this mean that evryone who goes out and gets duals also get a new bumper. or do some of u guys keep the stock bumper. and if u do wont it burn the bumper cause it will be making contact. just want to know cause i wana put duals but if i need to add a new bumper than its just more money plus i would have to pay to put new stripes. and if u can please post pics espicially if u kept the stock bumper.

I have duals... GT takeoff mufflers, and the stock bumper that I cut to make the left muffler fit. There's the pypes template online, and if you follow the directions it will come out fine! no melting going on here!!! i'll try to get you some pics in the daytime tomorrow if i remember... lol

I just bought the GT bumper from newtakeoff.com. Its not that much compared to other mods, and I would think that its going to be pretty impossible to make the hole you cut look like the stock one IMO. But I pay close attention to detail when it comes to how my car looks.

All you're doing is mirroring the factory cutout. With a piece of paper, marker, a sharp cutting tool, some sandpaper and a bit of touchup paint to cover the black plastic edges, it's very easy to make it identical to stock. And I pay close attention to detail when it comes to how my car looks too.

If you really want to nail it, you also cut off the little extra lip on the stock cutout so both sides are identical. Nothing complicated about it.

Some guys used dremmel tool to do the job. For me, believe it or not I used a utility knife. It is very easy to do and cut. Sand paper is a must to smoothen the area. Then I used a touch up paint (dark red, not redfire specific) for cover up.

Samples...
