I had wondered the same thing after I swapped out my spoiler and changed the rear stripes to go down to the bumper (had stopped at brake light before). I slapped my magnetic blackout panel on and it looked really nice. I was going to go ahead and finish it up by striping all the way down the bumper (which I still plan to do), but I'll be doing that without the magnetic blackout panel. Turns out after two weeks, the magnetic blackout panel actually started to show the faint outlines of the vinyl stripes - this shouldn't be an issue for painted stripes though - and since it looked funny, I took it off. At this point, I'd get the honeycomb panel, but that will take a little more $$.
