don't do it. the previous owner of my car did this very same thing.

they aren't straight, and there's no way to make them straight really unless you fabricate some sort of plastic shim to go in between the fogs and the grill. the curvature of the grill makes the fogs point down and off toward opposite sides (opposite of cross-eye look).

the owner of my car before me left his job half finished, and its the biggest thing about this car that bugs me. they don't even WORK!

they might look nice from a small distance, but once you get close you see the grill for real. all i can say to the previous owner is FAIL.

you're best bet is to look for a nice set up through a reputable company, like street scene or something. I know I've seen some grills on ebay that are v6 grills with the GT foglights attatched, but i'm not sure how those are. v6mustangstuff.com sells a kit that has the elanor style set-up for like $300 or something like that... I'm probably gonna get that when I save enough.

look closly at the lights. they point outwards like stated you have no adjustment so you will not get much help out of them. in the old days mr. wick made some they were ok o guess. but with all of the made to fit kits, WHY?

That's how I did mine. I bought an extra V6 grille on ebay for $20. Two $10 lights from Walmart and an APC remote fog light relat kit for $7 (clearance). Just used a 5" hole saw on a drill press and made some brackets to hold the lights in and so that I could adjust the angle. You can't tell at all close up that it's a hack job. Wish I could have found 6" lights though.

Better, but older pic.

Did you take any pics of your install? I might try to put factory GT foglights on my V6 grill... since no one makes a true OEM style "GT Foglight" kit for V6ers.

AM sells a GT-style grille, but all of the reviews I've read say that it sucks complete butt. An alternative is to scour the sale forums and try to find a GT or Eleanor grille for pretty cheap. Eleanor grilles are hard to come by, but GT grilles are fairly common.

With a GT grille, you'll have to cut a little bit off the top and sides unless you want to go with a GT front bumper.

I'm thinking the main problem is getting the proper mounting for GT foglights for the V6 grills.

The foglights could have the tops shaved down a bit so they will fit into the V6 grill; yes?

So then that leaves the aiming problem. Can any GT owners pipe up and state where do the foglights naturally aim? Down the center? Off to the sides? Please share.

I'm considering making a shim/ mount out of sandblasted & cut PVC pipe the correct diameter (~ 6 inches?).
Little slots cut into the sides would help it snap into the honeycomb grill. Then all it needs is to be properly secured.

Any input on this fellow V6ers?

The KS Group Honeycomb Grill with "GT Style" foglights are alright but not quite OEM enough. I feel their grills are *halfway* between OEM GT style and Eleanor style!

I want real OEM style GT look, like the OP #4 picture.
