So I got my Fang chin spoiler and went down to Maaco to get it painted Dark Candy Apple Red, I gave them the color code (JV). I picked it up today and just when I was about to install it, I put it near my bumper and realize its the not same color...it's Torch Red...or at least a bluer shade of my car. Definitely noticeable up close, but not from afar. Still I am not happy, and damn Maaco business hours, gotta go back...

is that the shops that do super cheap paint?..you cant go to somewhere like that and honestly expect it to be a good job

Is it metallic? If it is, it's not torch. Redfire is a bluer red than the Dark Candy Apple....maybe they did it that color? Or more likely it's just a pi$$poor job as that's what they're REALLY good at unfortunately.

Sorry they screwed it up so bad.

Woops, I mean they did RedFire, not Torch Red. I mix those up sometimes. I thought Maaco was solid. But i'm sure they'll fix it.

I had a girlfriend in high-school that had her black celica painted at a Maco.. the paint looked like it had a bad acne problem (too thick and too much "orange peel"), and they painted one washer sprayer on the hood and not the other.. even though they were only about 2 feet apart.

When Maco first came out they advertised "we'll paint any car for $29.95" Don't know what they charge now but what kind of quality can you get from a place like that? Good thing its just a Chin Spoiler. Take it to Zebart and have them Tough Coat it.
