If you meant you wanted to put the Cobra hood on the GT, it should also close fine without any mods. However, keep in mind that the Cobra hood is shaped differently and it may not flow well with the design of the regular Mustang front end. The Cobra hood is designed to flow with the headlights that have that angle to them, and the front bumper that has that same angle which follows the headlight design. The hood off the Cobra is a bit different, but the latch should still close regardless of what front end you have.

Car looks great man, still deciding if I am doing the conversion or not. I am kinda waiting for the KR hood to become available first. For anyone else that wants to do the conversion for a good price, check this out.

That's where I got mine. Great prices.
As for the KR hood, forget it. I and many others have PLEADED with Amy B at Shelby and she absolutely refuses to sell the KR hood. The only one you can get from them is the SS hood.
I bought the Trufiber Venom hood, which is pretty close.

No, the pillars next to the headlights on the GT and V6 do not slope in like the GT500, and if you use a stock GT or V6 bumper with a GT500 hood, the pillars will get in the way and the hood cannot close.

We are not all just trying to be "Wanna Be's". I just happen to like the look of the GT-500. I still display all the GT badges even though I have the Muscle to back the look up. Anyway, I am pretty sure there are not too many Redfire GT-500's...

Theres just so many chocies with these cars. One minute I want the GT500 front end, then I want to keep it stock and go for the Mach 1 look, then I want the Cervinis kit, then the Saleen....I just cant decide! But damn that GT500 front end is beautiful.
