Default $15 V6 Bullit Grill

When the Bullit came out, I loved the black model. However, I could not understand why I hated by black v6 front end and why I loved the Bullit black front end. It turns out that it was a matter of contrast. A black grill seeps into a black front end - having some chrome or alum inbetween the black grill and the black front end makes all the difference in the word to me.

Going to my local auto parts store, I picked up some 3M chrome piping that matched the mustang emblem. After alcohol prep and placement, within 5 minutes I had my own $15 Bullit grill.

Looks great...I think the deal with people about the bullitt, is not having any big pony emblem in the middle of it. Was that easy to do?

I looked all around autozone and Napa and couldn't find similar trim, and I refused to ask the workers there for fear of sounding like a ricer, lol.

Hey, so where exactly did you get the 3M 1/4 inch adhesive accent, and how many feet did you buy? Do you think this can be picked up at home depot or somewhere like that? thanks.

From my local http://www.oreillyauto.com/EW3/HomePage.do

It was near the chrome tape that is used for trucks to keep the lower portions of the body from being scratched. Comes in packs with plenty of length to do several grills - I think the packs were around $15 each. Anything from 1/8" to a full 1" - get the 1/4" 3M adhesive size.

I originally missed it also but worked the courage to ask the 15 year old kid behind the counter. He took me right to it, went outside to look at my grill, and then told me what size would work best. Good customer service.
