Default Satin Silver GT Takeoff Rear - Not a good match

Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this. I have a 2005 Satin Silver V6. I purchased a GT takeoff bumper in the middle of last year. Knew I was not going to get around to putting it on till I did my duals, which I just did.

Dunno... the color does not seem like a good match. I think the bumper is pretty noticably lighter in color. Wife agrees. I think it is far enough off that I am going to remove it.

I have not heard of many, or any others complaining about mad matches. My front bumper was a dead *** match, and the rockers seem to match too. Anybody else have a color match problem? Andybody have a bad match on Satin Silver?

Then I also got to thinking... I know Satin Silver was discontinued this year. How early where the new Silver cars available? I wonder if I got one of the new silver colors. Anybody know if the new silver is lighter in color than Satin Silver?

Paint matching always scares me a bit...I want to get a new hood, I just hope the paint match comes out correct.

I bought my GT rear fascia in Satin Silver from newtakeoff.com last spring, and the paint match was pretty much dead on.

Peace!

I got my front it was perfect.. rockers were perfect... rear was silver and I took it in to get it painted and left my car with them so they could match, and they matched it perfectly too.

It costs me $250 to get it painted, you should just do the same so it matches. Might even be cheaper since it is already the same color.

different batches can have some variation. That's why sometimes they'll ask for your VIN when you get something painted.
