RE: Window Tint
One thing I love is being military. I actually in a sense get my cake and eat it too .
I have a Calif license (It's indefinate/NO Expirationas long as I'm active duty) since that's where I started. I'm a resident of Washignton State (Home of residence) and NO state taxes. Cars are registered in Kansas since that's place of purchase.
The ONLY problem is that Washington State and Kansas ONLY allow 35% tint all around. I do like Calif's of ANY darkness on everything except for the fact of ONLY 70% on the driver's and passenger's windows [:@]. Basically with Calif's law, you can't touch your driver's or passenger's front windows. [&o]
I'm currently searching for the best way to get around this issue in a legal, legitimate, and up and up mannerwithout having to change my records of residence. [sm=drlove.gif][sm=yeahsmile.gif][sm=smiley20.gif][sm=gears.gif][sm=americanasmiley.gif]

Cali's a hell of a lot better than NY. I'm military too. AZ license that expires in 2051, 50 bucks for state taxes... but I pay NY insurance. which is only 120 a month for full coverage and $100 deductible. Tint laws in NY suck tho. Can only do 30% round

RE: Window Tint
i have mine at 20% all the way around. have to roll down the windows sometimes depending on where i am backing out at. love them. second car that i have ever tinited the windows on. would like to go darker but the law in tn is that 35% on all windows on cars and 35% on front two windows of trucks and you are allowed to go triple limo if you want for all the other windows on a truck. i have been pulled over numerous times and not one cop yet has mentioned a thing about how dark the windows are. might just go to 15% all the way around when i re-tent them here in the near future.

I tinted my windows because my leather seats were getting dry already after like 2 months of owning my new car. It should also keep my car from getting extremely hot this summer while parked at places with no shade.

For some they do it for the looks, I did it for the functionality of it
