"I asked the dealer that installed mine to put what is LEGAL in ALL states so that regardless of where you go it won't be a problem. A good installer also puts a sticker in the door jamb that states the tint meets all legal criteria."

yeah but if you know the window tint guy he will put the sticker inside the ten tthat says its legal. only charged me $20 more to do it. legal everywhere if they just go by the sticker behind the tint.

State police in several states (NY, VA, NJ for sure)carry a meter to read the light sensitivity on the tint. I tried your little scheme once and ended up with a nice big fine and had to remove the tint. the had to pay to have the correct tint installed... too costly 4 me so i just place it safe now and the car still looks good.
