I tinted my windows because my leather seats were getting dry already after like 2 months of owning my new car. It should also keep my car from getting extremely hot this summer while parked at places with no shade.

I don't believe you're asking to get pulled over. None of usare asking to get pulled over because then a ticket and $$$ out of the pocket usually follows. They will still look at a package no matter what is done. It also depends on how dark you set the tint. People like the tint for multiple reasons; i.e. heat, privacy, looks, and so forth.

You live in Wisconsin. Not a whole lot of sun there. I live in Colorado, altitude 6,400' ASL. The sun here can be brutal. Even on a cold day you can burn pretty fast. All that sun can destroy the interior. Also, you bake under that direct sun. Window tint protects the car, and makes it much more comfortable year round.

I have 15% on the rear.
Visibility is good, and dark enough to look good, and also dims other cars headlights at night, but not as dark as limo tint (5%).

I have 5 % all around. I can see out of them without a problem, even at night.

Tinted mine because I have a Black Car and it really heats up in the summer without the tint. Don't see what the big deal is, tint is not illegal everywhere
