Yeah, I'm getting some samples for my doors, just to see what color I like best. But since I have the base Mustang, I don't have the vinyl door insert like you do. It's all crappy plastic [:'(]!!

It can be done without the interior upgrade (door panels) you just have to go a different route. I used the door guard, comes in a roll at the auto parts store and crammed it in the gap. Didn't shrink in the winter nad has never come loose.

Yeah, there are some welt samples coming in the mail, just so I can see which color I like best. I want to paint the car two tone, so I want to try to find a door welt that's as close to mineral grey as possible.

Here's a couple of pics so you know exactly how boring the inside looks.

If you can't find the color you are looking for, you can always paint the welt. I had to with mine because they didn't have it close enough to Vista Blue.

I have only seen one person posting with a painted interior... eric6913. You might try sending him a PM for details.
I think it looks hideous but if it floats your boat here is the thread. https://mustangforums.com/m_4915610/tm.htm
not really painted, just some carbon fiber inserts with the steering wheel painted.

not neccessarily boring, I would say you have a bigger and better canvas to work with.

If you're going the painted route, check this website out :: Phoenix Imaging, Your No. 1 Dash Kit and Customizing Automotive Manufacturer::real reasonable too.

05 Mustang[/b]
Radio bezel $72
Center console/dual cupholder face $104
Pair window switch controls $72
Pair door pulls $61

I was thinking aout doing this myself, going with the carbon fiber inserts or painting the interior. I have the carbon fiber weave IUP in my car.

I think your idea of a carbon fiber dash kit would look great. Some people bought Mustang or Tri-bar emblems and had them mounted on the dash. I put a vinyl Mustang Script here;

I also put one of these in to replace the cheap plastic aux plug;

I like that Mustang vinyl....makes me wonder if painting the glove box white, and cutting the script into the carbon fiber so the "Mustang" would show white would look good, or be too much.
