1/4 window louvers or scoop?

1/4 window louvers or scoop?
I have a 2006 tungsten silver GT and was wondering if I should get quarter window xenon scoops or louvers. For the louvers I have been looking at the Roush or the Classic Design Concepts. I was wondering what everyones opinions are about these parts as far as look and quality. Should I get them silver to match? or should I get them back...b/c ultimately I want to smoke out the rear lights and paint duel dark grey racing stripes from bumper to bumper. Also a heads up about how to properly install with the tape so it does not fall off. Thanks for your time guys.

The choice depends upon your long range plans. If you get the scoops I would say you also need the side scoops to complete the package. I have Xenon side scoops and Street Scene 2 gen. louvers. Louver look more retro to me and do not require the side scoops to complete the look. The Street Scene louvers are open and if you do not use a dark film on the window before the install, you can actually see through them, a plus in my book. Paint whatever you choose the same color as the ride. Putting anything on the car that is black will look like you just pulled it out of the box and were in a hurry to stick it on or else too cheap to paint it and do it right.

See my qtr window louvers in my sig and the attached pic. I like the painted-to-match look. Also, I like the semi-open style of the qtr window louvers because they still provide some visibility thru them for the driver.

for the dbl sided tape, make sure you:
1) wash / clean the area - dry it
2) use a tack cloth to get anything else off
3) use a Promotor - like 3M - 4298 (BE CAREFUL - it RUNS like water)
4) Let the promotor dry for like 5-10 mins
5) align it twice before you stick it, then stick away..
6) apply decent pressure for 10-15 seconds uniformly on the part that has the tape on it.
good luck!

I'm cheap but when I go CDC someday, they'll be painted flat black to match the rear louvers.
