Need tips for installing my BSM hood and side stripes.
Got my stripes over the weekend, but wanted to ask for any tips before installing them myself.
I'll be doing so in my garage so I don't have to worry about the sun.
Thanks

BSM gives you a recipie for a solution to use when laying the stripes, use that. As for recommendations on the actual install..
1. Use a grease pencil to mark your layout, not tape. Tape can and will slide on you when it gets wet with the solution.
2. PATIENCE. Take your time. Don't rush. If you don't have all day to do the install, then don't do it. A rushed install will look like a rushed install every time you look at the car. Take your time and spend the enxtra time to make it perfect.
3. Start with the hood, then the roof. It's the easiest to do, and gives you an idea of the basic method of how things will go, without having to deal with complex curves, or working on a vertical surface.
4. PATIENCE! Did I mention this?
5. Having a friend to help is nice, but not manditory.
6. P A T I E N C E!
Oh yeah.. and somewhere, someone once told me that a lot of patience goes a long way doing these installs

Thanks for the tips. I didn't think about using a grease pencil, I'll definitely do that. I completely understand the patience part, thats why I didn't try to do it this past weekend. Don't want to rush the job.

Don't know about the hood but this should help with the stripes:
