CDC chin spoiler
Has anyone ever scraped there CDC classic Chin Spoiler? If so any quick fixes?
My wife doesn't want me to tell you all who did it. So lets say that hypothetically she hit a parking block and scraped it to hell how would you fix it. Its not painted and any fix would be tried because once again hypothetically she has offered to buy me a new one.
thanks

Man, that's a good thing we are just talking hypothetically b/c I'll be really mad at her if I were you had it really happened. :P
Anyway, are you set on keeping it black b/c if she is willing to replace it why not just have her pay to get it repaired and painted? If you would rather just have to black I would just replace it instead of fix it since it would probably be cheaper, plus you could find someone here that wanted one painted that wouldn't mind doing the repair work for a good price and make some cash back.

I did the same thing to my CDC spoiler. I just cleaned it real well with some paint prep, masked it off, and rattlecan sprayed it with Krylon Semi-flat black paint. You can still see where I scraped it if you look at it very close but from a few feet away you don't even notice it. If yours is scraped much worse you could sand it down smooth before you paint it.

I will say one thing about those cdc chins, they are durable. I accidentally parked mine against a curb for over a week when I was out of town. It was pushed flat, when I backed the car up it stayed flattened for a few days but eventually went back to it's original shape, much to my surprise. I thought for sure I was going to have to buy a new one. maquires and other make a product called back to black that is designed to restore the black color on plastic parts that are faded, you could try using that to camo the effect of the scratches.
