Default Tri-Bar Pony Grille Emblem

Hi,

I have a Street Scene upper grille on my GT:

and I've seen a lot of photos of the same grill with a classic 69 tri-bar pony logo on it, can anyone tell me where I can get one of these from? I've searched eBay and only found one for billet grilles:

http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...rand=183735445

and I'm assuming that this won't fit without some sort of modification, the only other one's I've seen are stick on but I can't imagine there is enough surface area on the honeycomb pattern for the badge to hold.... so any suggestions?

Thanks,
Andrew.

I bought this one linked here and I'm very happy with it. It will definitely do the job for you with no worry about falling off since it attached with nuts and bolts through the grille.

I have a Shelby black billet grille with no fogs and put the this on to dress it up. At first, I thought it was a little bit to small but after seeing some of the larger ones out there, I actually think it looks better. I've had others tell me the same thing.

The SS grille has no provision for any kind of emblems...
So you'll need to be a little creative to stick one on there.
Nothing major though.

I'm not sure what you mean by, "the SS grille has no provision for any kind of emblems." The one in my link provided should fit fine. There is one plastic plate that goes in the rear of the grille and one in the front. Bolts slide through the holes in the front plate, the grille, then the rear plate with nuts. The pony emblem then sticks to the front plate hiding the bolts. The whole unit can be slid up and down or from side to side as needed. the bolts should be long enough to pass through any grille I've ever seen as long as it has some holes in it which it had better have for cooling purposes. There is no sticking on anything involved with the 3dCarbon unit. Go to the small diagrams and expand them to see what I mean.
It does say, "does not fit 2008 Bullitt grille with the included bolts. To install on Bullitt grille you must buy longer bolts, which are available at any hardware store." Longer bolts are dirt cheap if needed.

I meant it has the same honey comb that the original...
If someone makes a emblem bracket to fit those grilles, then you're in luck.
Easier than I thought.

I used an OEM ?01-04? pony emblem.
Its a little smaller than the 05-09
pony fender emblem.
It applies with 3M tape and is there to stay.
Looks like a YR3Z-16098-BB - Drivers Side $9.99 + S/H
And yet another PAIR $11 + S/H

Oh yea, blacking out everything behind the grill is the finishing touch.

I'll give the 3D Carbon one a try and see if it will work straight out of the box.... if not I'll sell if at get an OEM one, I'm just a little worried about the OEM one and the grill not having enough surface area for it to stick to....

Mine has very minimal surface to stick to and by
god if it ever falls off ???Why??? I would be suprised.
I removed one to reposition it and it was a bear.
It had only been on ther for about 1/2 an hour
until I decided it was too far to the right. see pic.
The tail is now following one of the honeycomb ines
and that is the major adhesion point. Not so in the
before too far right pic where the emblem barely catches
anything to stick to but was the bear to remove.
I got 3 YR3Z-16098-BB emblems off eBay cheap NOS
and the first one died from removal for repositioning
and the second one just barely touches any of the
honeycombs but she is there to stay until the cows
come home.
