Or emblem anybody try to modify the original one? does the inner black part come out? Anybody have a stock one they wanna sell cheap dont want to take mine off to find out.

I have a friend who just put a decal (sticker) over the original GT one. He made his GT into a Shelby Clone. The sticker was made by a local sign guy.... you would never know it wasn't stock!

I think the current replacement fuel caps look stupid. All they do is change the color/ material, in most cases chrome or gloss black. If anything it looks out of place and doesn't do anything for appearance.

IMO go old school and make one that resembles the old cobra fuel caps that petrude out of the body and have some kinda lock and hinge mechanism. It'll scream American hard core.

I thought about going with one off a 71 -73 mach 1. We have a vinyl cutter at school so i can cut almost anything as long as its not over 24" wide.

Here's what I did with mine...in sig...cover is flush with rear honeycomb cover and pulls up to provide access to keyhole...

that looks good shirt dont know what i was thinking but totally forgot about keyhole maybe cause i dont use it or that on my other mustangs the gas cap is real
