Default Has anyone used wheel wax on their polished aluminum wheels?

Winter is approaching, i'm looking for a way to protect my wheels. A buddy of mine suggested using a wheel wax but has never used it himself. Any suggestions?

I used wax on them and it was fine. Becareful of rubbing too hard because there is a coating on the wheels. I had a wierd imperfection on one wheel and tried to buff it out thinking it was "polished aluminum". Needless to say I got it warruntied.

Soft cloth, light rubbing and buffing would be fine.

Yes you can wax them. I wax them on my daily driver and it seems to help quite a bit against road grime and salt.

You can pretty much wax any type of wheel just make sure you get all the wax off.. if you miss a spot that could later leave a mark..

Waxing is fine on most wheels. Clear coated and chrome probably work the best for waxing. Keeps crap from sticking to them as easy.

My factory 18" polished bullitts are clear coated, so I use Mother's spray wax on them.
