Default Getting my clear bra today.

In addition to my clear bra , I have had the gt emblems removed from the fender. Here's some fresh pictures before the install. Nothing like fresh new black paint. I guess you got to be here in person to really appreciate it.

that's awesome, I'm eager to see/hear how things turn out....after 07 GT E UPP made the comment below in your other thread, I've been having second thoughts, because it's easier for me to just touch up my bumper every so often (if needed) than having a marked up clear bra that is more of an eye sore (I'm also basing this off the fact that I hardly drive my car and when I do, I stay at least 3 car lengths behind the person in front of me and I avoid the interstate if at all possible)

However, the down side is when a fair size stone, or ...?? hits it, you can see the actual mark in the clear bra against the black bumper. So, ya, it may protect the actual paint, but you can definatley still see the marks/chips in the clear. So I say.... what's the point !!
...but who knows, I may just decide to do this after I give it some more thought??

The thought of getting one of these has crossed my mind. If you don't mind, how much is the bra w/ install running if you aren't installing it yourself?

Materials and installed on front bumper and hood cost 911 dollars. This doesn't count that I paid 750 dollars to have my front bumper, hood and fenders painted with the GT emblems taken off and welded to close the holes that kept the GT Emblems in place. Were talking about 1600 dollars in all but I'm getting a lifetime warranty and I'm tired of obsessing of the paint chips. Being a black car their isn't any brakes on damage if you know what I mean.

that's pretty nice, the clear bra (xpel.com) that I was looking at getting only offers a 7 year warranty...

do you know how thick the clear bra material is that they are putting on your car?

Ouch, I was thinking more along the line of 300-400 max. I guess this is off my to do list.

just to do my front bumper is $325 for material & labor and another $125 to do a 4"-5" strip on the hood and carried over onto the fenders
