Don't see how an overlay kit gets around the fact that there's a Ford emblem and a very long part number in raised lettering on the lens. The tint will never lay down properly with those on there. That being said, I can't see spending $30 on tint overlays that still require the work described above, when a whole roll of tint is $10.

^^^ agree, if i would do it to mine id rather do it that way then spending $30 on a can of nite shade to do it... id only use nite shade on bigger projects like head and taillights..

howd you take the trunk faux gas cap off....just pulled it off with a screw driver or unbolted somehting and what paint did you use for it

When i removed mine used fishing line and heat gun,then used go gone to remove the left over 2 way tape

i didnt take mine off i just masked everything and it looks the same as everyone that took theres off.. see pic in the 1st page
