Spoiler delete & Painted Badges
So I decided to take my spoiler off after reading some of the threads on here and soon Ill have my badges painted black. The black GT badge is kind of hard to see. I had an extra laying around so I tried it out on that 1 and just taped it over the one on my car.
I want to give my car a "race car" look and sound so soon ill be changing my rims to black S style rims, black "GT" fuel door, eibach pro kit, and a electric cutout. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...astpass052.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...astpass048.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...astpass054.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...astpass055.jpg Also a while back I took my mufflers off and said I would get some video up on how it sounded. I kind of did. The :16 second mark you can hear me, 1:42 mark, 8:16 mark (you can hear me doing a burnout on the run before), 8:59 mark (the best im revving up and holding it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdcwsuQdjmc You can hear me doing a burnout in front of this guys car and launching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lG3bomZ_Alw This one has a bunch of wind noise but you can compare it to the other cars and such http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxO70...eature=related When I would go under bridges and revved up it would tickle my ear drums. |
what did you use to cover the holes in the trunk?
|
some plastic plugs from home depot. They were all ready white are off only off on color a tad bit.
|
looks good...can we get a side angle of the car...?
|

I had to do some modifying to the plugs so I could use the same size on all of the holes since whoever installed my spoiler apparently had 3 different size holes. 2 were just right, 1 was a smaller hole, and the last was oval (WTFhttp://smiliesftw.com/x/laughwtf.gif) |
^^I recently took my spoiler off and my holes looked exactly how you described yours.
|
yea that is perfect...i like
|
I am not a big fan of the spoiler delete; and if you are going to take it off you should have it repaired correctly at a body shop. JMO.

use some small carriage bolts, they work the best. Grab a can of white rattle can paint at home depot, spray the bolts, and enjoy! looks great. mine matches the ford oem white, perfectly. |
how did they fill your badges for painting? or is there still a gap in between, it is hard to tell.

Did you just drop the bolts through and put a nut underneath the lid? - I wonder if the touch up paint you can get at autozone etc.. would work? |

A carriage bolt eh? YOU sir, just made me decide to proceed with removing that spoiler off the trunk.

I'll have to see about doing that, maybe finding someone that can grind those bolts down even more so they sit almost flush. Sometimes I wish i would have bought a dremmel.. btw, anyone ever plugged up the badge holes instead of redoing the whole fender? I really don't like those badges and I'm trying to figure out what to do with them..
