that's what I'm getting ready to do. I already have my V1 mounted to the rear view mirror with this...

I love the mount, works awesome and it doesn't shake around at all. I've just been lazy in wiring it to the fuse panel. I already found an empty slot to tap into for the light for my boost gauge, I'm just gonna use the same switched power point for the detector too.

whatever you do always put a fuse inline! you don't want to have a short without a fuse, your wire will turn into a heating coil and set your dash on fire

Very nice. I need to find one of those for my RX65... it's a few years old though so not sure if they'll have one. I like the direct wiring install now, but yes, I still have to deal with the suction cups. And for some reason the placement in our cars is very difficult. If you want it up high, it's either in the way of the visor, behind the dot matrix, or right in front of your face. That mount would be perfect.

Oh and btw, I used the Add-a-circuit piece pictured before which adds a fuse. I have it in the Accessory Delay bay which is 5A and then I just put another 5A fuse for the accessory. No idea if that is the right fuse to have, but I figured it would be okay... thoughts?

Does it have the big silver "Z" on the back of it? I don't like the looks of that. Thought I guess thats nothing a sharpie wouldn't fix.
