Default Any experience with chrome wheel skins?

I just bought my '07 GT, and it has the factory painted alloy wheels. I plan on getting some deep dish chrome wheels, but that expense comes after having the kitchen remodeled and the basement walls fixed.

I saw some chrome wheel skins, and thought that they might be ok for the short term. Maybe.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Thanks for any replies.

Chrome wheels skins........ have no clue about them, but its sounds like a waste of money IMO. I have never seen/heard of them ever before in my life.

I have them on my Jeep Grand Cherokee (Winter car). They look cheap and like plastic. I'm going to take them off when it warms up.

One of the online outfits that sells them is here.

06Glassback, you pretty much confirmed my suspicions. I guess I'll just have to keep watching all the forum classifieds, Craigs list, Ebay, etc. The factory painted alloy wheels look okay, but there's nothing like chrome.

I would check craigslist in your area. I just sold a set of used (but excellent) GT 500's and the highest offer I had was $150. Be patient and keep checking the classifieds.
