Stock caliper finish - will it hold up or should I paint??
I picked up a set of new slotted/drilled rotors last week from RotoPros via a GP buy on another forum and am debating if I should take the time while I have things apart to paint the calipers.
The stock silver finish seems to have no signs of deterioration thus far, but the car is not a DD and has <4K miles. If I do paint them, I will more than likely just stick with Silver (maybe black) anyhow as I want to maintain a stealth look (Dupli-color caliper paint kit).
How does the stock finish hold up over time??
Is painting necessary/recommended??

Paint them black while you have the calipers off...and if you have time before they go on, get some white "MUSTANG" decals for them. It'll look awesome. But no, they won't deteriorate, but they'll look cleaner painted.

I heard the duplicolor brush on kit was fine as long as you cleaned the calipers well. I painstakingly cleaned mine and 10k miles later they're flaking really badly. I'll probably have to go with the more expensive G2 kit.
I'd paint them black while you have the wheels off.
