I was thinking about getting/painting the pony in the grille any thoughts on it. Anywhere I can get one?

There is a guy that i see everyday i leave work almost with one on his 4.0. Im not for sure if it is black chrome, but it is blacked out. Looks pretty good i think.

The 2010's have a black chrome pony on the front grill. I want to see one of these in person. Might have to add to the list.

If you have the chrome pony already, I would say take it to a good painter and see if they can spray a lightly tinted clear over it. Once polished out it should look like black chrome. You should be able to get the same effect regardless of the color used to tint the clear. Used to have it done on my BMX frames using powdercoat... they called it translucent.
