like many that install the 3rd brake light led's, they stay dim even with car off until they bought a $2 resistor to stop it.

My bad, I should have specified mine are the map lights, they turn off completely on their own after 15 minutes or so, no need for a resistor like the 3rd brake light.

The draw from an LED maplight lit at ~5% capacity will likely strain your car battery...in about 40 years haha.

Happy new year all!

Ha Ha if you rig up 2 LED's AND have the aftermarket home link mod like I do....It doesn't work very well. With both LED's installed when you push the homelink button the map lights go on. It cracked me up the first time I saw it.

I have to go with One LED only If I want my homelink to work.

Great Job! Now professor I am waiting to see how you change the complete instrumentation video. I have a Roush without my color and want to switch to blue! I'll be looking forward to your next lesson! Thanks well done.

The LED bulbs behave exactly as your stock bulbs would They turn on and off with the switches. They run anywhere from $6-12 each and the bulbs come in almost any standard color.

I bought some 194 blue led bulbs and followed the instructions on this post. I like how the cabin glows blue at night. Does it matter if I use 194 bulbs or 921 bulbs?
