Default LED vs CCFL halo lights

So I am looking at getting halo head lights and fog lights, the original versions, not the euro style. Doing a search I found surprisingly few posts about these lights. Basically I am wondering which one lasts longer? You need to remove the front facia to replace the head lights and that is not something I want to do on any sort of a regular basis.

The CCFL's last a long time. I have these on now. I had LED's a while back, and the passenger side stopped working shortly after. Also, these are a crap load brighter. So, removing the bumper on a regular basis isn't something you'll have to worry about with the ccfl lights.

What ever you do, don'y buy them from Blue Oval Industries. I bought a set of the ccfl fog lights from them and have been fighting with them ever since. John, the guy who runs BOI will not reply an email until you send him 3 or 4 and get a little angry. The phone lines only give a busy tone until John tells you to call and then they are freed up. One of the halos on one of the lights didn't work when I got it, Sent it back and got a new one and only half the halo lit up. 4 weeks later neither halo work. I don't know if it is crap quality that I got or if they just don't work and that is why you never see them. Hope this helps.

I've seen the halo lights on ebay and they are a lot cheaper then what I've found on several parts websites. Unfortunately I'm worried that cheaper is exactly what they are (cheap knockoffs). I did order some 'smoked' halo lights and was very disappointed with how barely tinted they were and sent them back. Now I am looking at getting non-tinted ones and then deciding if I want to tint them after they are installed.

Thanks for input so far.

I thought about tinting mine, but after hearing how some of the guys on here had problems with exactly how much light could shine through during night driving, I decided not to.

Not to mention, I don't want the tint to take away from the brightness of the halos.
