Yes, they do make the holes a bit smaller. I have one myself. Looks really nice though.

I happen to have a lot of chrome interior parts and it does not look rice at all. In fact chrome is "old school hot rod" not "new school rice" Ricers tend to have everything painted or carbin fibered out rather than chrome and its always over the top. As long as its tasteful and you don't go over board it will look nice.

And here is a shot of a hot rod interior. Chrome was all the rage back in the 50's & 60's
