I don't think it looks bad at all. That being said, I would probably call the company and see what they say about getting the right color. That would just bug me knowing they are different colors, but thats me.

The bulbs will go through a break in period in which an initial color shift is common. This seems to be more dramatic on the 5000k bulbs to our experience. I would urge you to at least try them out that long to make sure that things do not equal out between the two beams after a little time. However, if you would like to exchange after this we'd be more than happy to assist you with that as well and double check the color code on the bulbs.

Good to keep in mind. I've had the bulbs on for a few weeks now, and the 6000K-ish blue has not appeared to diminish. That being said, I really like the combination of the 5000K and 6000K. At this point, I would really only be motivated to switch the 5000K headlights with 6000K and the 6000K fogs with 5000K... RetroSolutions isn't on the hook for both sets as far as I'm concerned, so the point is more or less completely moot. I appreciate the thoroughness of which RetroSolutions follows its customers' satisfaction.

An addendum to my statements above:
From the outside of the car, 5000K is VERY close to the OEM color, if not spot-on. They do not look impressive as you stand off to the side or above them. If you want functionality without looks at all, 5000K packs a lot of light, yet doesn't attract attention at all (unless the bulbs were to be aimed improperly). Now, if you were looking for a little bit of an appearance mod, 6000K is probably what you want. 6000K is *just* slightly blue to the point of someone saying "oh yea, those are HID's all right" whereas the reaction to 5000K typically is "those are different than stock...how?" That is, unless they're behind the wheel of your car and can see a quarter mile ahead

Just a point of clarification from someone who has received both reactions already haha.
Thanks for the clarification and i did pull the trigger and bought the 5000K 55W HID's and will install them this weekend.... I will do a write up as to installation but it appears as if it is easy....thanks again for your opinion it is much appreciated!

im a bit confused by your comment about the 5000k's looking "OEM"

by that do you mean yellow or white ?

i was under the impression that 4300 and 5000k kits should be white

Maybe it's my eyes, but 5000K looks white with a slight twinge of yellow coming out. I can't discern a difference between the 5000K and my stock bulbs other than an extreme increase in brightness. OEM is probably 4300K, but 5000K is pretty damn close, if not spot-on.
