I feel like such an idiot not to have ordered my concept hood painted - I'm doing it at the shop I work at, but a pint of PPG torch red was $96 SHOP cost, and we used every drop to cover the primer / gel coat. I've still got another 6+hrs to go with wetsanding and buffing the stupid thing.

I ordered my hood from the factory...thought about having them paint it since it would be cheaper and less hassle. I'm glad I didn't since the first hood delivered was damaged in freight. I could only imagine what it would have done to the paint.

So how do you like your hood? I know the openings don't have any kind of screen. Does the top of your motor get really dirty? I love that hood but I don't like the fact it's completely open to the top of the engine. (no block offs)

I have a windveil blue GT also so

I'm almost sure that they don't package the painted hoods the same way.
I would take the windshield approach on that one.

to follow up...
Cervini shipped another hood ASAP and all was well. Super nice to deal with on the phone too.

I have the ram air kit so the openings are not open to the engine bay. They dump into an extension on the airbox.

Does anyone know if you can you order a ram air hood from Cervini's and add their ram air kit later or does it have to be purchased together? I am thinking of buying their ram air hood, either the 1171 or 1181.
