Vinyl Stripe Problem/Question...
Hey guys,
I've got vinyl stripes on my GT. And before everyone says "get them painted", when I have more funds, I am going to get a painted superstripe. But at any rate, now, I have stripes that run bumper to bumper. Only on the bumpers are the stripes begining to crack apart, which looks like crap.
My question is, what will I need to remove them myself? And will it look lame with only the stripes on the hood, roof, and rear deck lid? Does anyone have this setup, and if so, could you please post pics?
Thanks.

Get them painted!! J/K
heat (many use a hair dryer) the cracked stripes and start to peel back slowly. i don't think they will look that bad with just the hood and deck lid. i think when ford stripes their cars from the factory that how they stripe them. if you really want to get some new stripes for the bumpers you can order replacement stripes at baltimore streetmods.

My husband runs a decal buisness and he has put many vinyl stipes on cars before. I am curious of to what material they used on your car? They should last 5-6yrs if they used the right material. But yes u can purchse solution from any decal sign buisness that will remove the stripes or work from front to back with a heat gun.

First, replacing the bumper sections isn't too difficult or expensive if you needed to pay for a shop to do it.
Second, I think having only the top stripes without the bumper stripes looks strange on a Mustang, especially the S197.
