Has anyone seen these center caps?

I have the mustang 18" polished aluminum wheels. I am interested in changing the center caps from the black tri-pony to the red tri-pony that they used on the 65 and 66's.

Has anyone done this, or know where to find some that would work on these wheels?

these places have them for the 64-66 years (http://www.dallasmustang.com/mustang...-SET-OF-4/9087 and http://www.scottdrake.net/prod_detai...+Cover+Hub+Cap), but not for the 05+; i don't think i've ever seen that style for 05+ either...

but, depending on how big they are, you might be able to get those and custom fit them over an 05+ center cap. if you can figure out a way to do that, it would make a very nice custom mod

There are a few places making custom center cap inserts / overlays. You could probably get them to make a set with the red pony design.

Thanks for the input. I will keep trying to figure it out.

If anyone else comes across anything, please let me know.

Thanks for the info!

These appear to just "stick" on. Forgive my ignorance, but would I just "stick" them on over the existing ones?

Thanks again.

I don't think you can just stick those on over the stock ones. You have to dig out the stock ones and sand them down somehow.

Maybe buy a set of the base model Ford oval caps to try this with?

I would think if the ones you have are flat and no raised areas, you could stick them over the old one. Make sure you clean the area real good with a cleaner and then give them a good rub down with 91% alcohol. If they aren't flat then you would do better to remove the old ones first them clean the surface of any residue with goo gone or sand paper, then put the new ones on.
