Tinting the break lights with store tint film.
I am going to tint my breaklights with tint from wal mart.
Do I need to tint the inside or outside of the breaklights?
Also is there a thread where it tells how to remove the break lights?
Thanks!

Ok.......
I'm glad it held up, but my question had nothing to do with that. It was what part (the inside or outside) of the breaklight do I tint and is there a thread here on how to remove the lights.

You need to tint the outside of the brake lights. I tried using tint from walmart a few weeks ago and gave up after about 2 hours of frustration trying to get the tint to conform the the edges. I ended up going to O'reillys and got a can of VHT Niteshades and was a thousand times happier. Not telling you not to use the tint but have fun and let us know how it goes.

ha i never wandered into this thread because i figured you'd get a quick answer, guess not. You need to tint the outside. To take out the tail lights, get everything out of your trunk (makes everthing easier) and tak out the liner that covers the floor of the trunk. After that you have to take out the plastic trunk piece that covers the lights. There's about 4 of those plastic push nails just like the ones on your radiator cover that you need to pop out. Theres also two plastic screws that have to be turned out, one on either side. After you take off that plastic you have to unscrew the 6 nuts (3 on each sides) that are holding the lights on the frame. Since this is your first time doing this there might be rubber grommets covering the screws but they peel off easy once you start twisting.
