Default Opinion Drake Scott Hood Struts

Hope I got this in the right section this time. Has anybody installed the Scott Drake billet gas hood struts? If so, what's your opinion for looks and function? I like the billet look with what I've done so far, just not sure about Scott Drake.

Thanks...

Most Scott Drake stuff is not so good quality wise.
There are better hood strut kits out there.
Not diggin the slot for the bolt on the rear of the hood brackets....
Havin trouble holding hole to hole tolerances there, Scott?

I would consider these, JLT Performance has them also for less shipping.

The RedLines are a biatch to work around when service is required
in the hood hinge area of the ebgine compartment.
I guess one could remove the offending gas strut when
work is needed and use the good ol hood prop rod...
Oh wait, I removed it when the hood lift struts were installed.

Thanks for the replies, kinda share the same opinion of the Scott Drake stuff. I like the bolt on idea instead of drilling and pop rivets. Got their dead pedal kit, what a joke, less than 1/8 thick, some holes drilled in it and some scuff marks put around the holes....I'll replace it later. I'l check out the Steeda, only complaint is they seem to put their name or logo on everything...

CDC or MRT (they are the same) are very good. they use the existing bolts for mounting and the logo is just a sticker that can be removed with a little solvent. Here are my MRT ones.

Don't use these for fiberglass hoods the drilled wholes with rivets try to pull out and mess up your hood going through that right now hate these things. They would be fine for metal but not fiberglass no matter what they say on their website.
