Shaker hood crazy question.

Shaker hood crazy question.
Since i don't have the $800 to drop on a shaker hood kit, but I really like that scoop. Has anyone every just bolted the scoop to the hood? like the stock, roush, and all the others?? I know, stupid crazy question. But it sounds like something that is possible..

umm, hmm. uhh... have you called cdc to even see if you can buy just that piece? its a heavy metal material, mite work, not sure. i have the shaker but i just cant picture it

You could get a Classic Stang parts catalog like NPD, Mustang Unlimited and get only the scoop for a lot less.
After you cut the hole in your hood, all you have to do is fabricate a couple of brackets to secure it onto your intake.
I regret not having done that with mine...
