Default Where Can i get these Hood Vents ??

Want hood vents like these
Can anyone tell me where to buy ( & the part #s to order )these hood vents?
My dealer says I have to get them thru Shelby.. True??
Is there any reason i couldnt mount these in a regular 05 GT hood that does not have the raised flat panels??
Thanks

Anyone else tried putting these in a regular hood?

Ford or Shelby part ??

Part # ??

I believe you're looking at a molded hood and not individual parts (other than the screens). You'd never get that look without a lot more hassle than just getting the hood.

that pick is from northamericantuning.com they are sometimes a little over priced but if i remember correctly they sell a LOT of GT to GT500 conversion parts, but they are only for a GT500 hood!

you might be able to put them into a stock GT hood, but unless you had a spare one laying around, its gonna be a BIG risk.

I'd ask someone like Pascal, but if you ask ME, I would think that cutting into a flat aluminum hood without raised ridges (such as you see on the GT500) is going to cause issues with structural integrity.

Any Ford dealer can order those parts for you. You just need to get the part number. If I remember right they are pretty expensive though...something like $100 a piece. I might be remembering wrong though.

Yeah but that's on a hood that's designed to have vented holes in it. Dave's point is that you can weaken a hood making big holes in it that weren't meant to be there in the first place.

It almost looks like this hood;

I think you would be much better off buying a new hood than cutting into yours.
