Default Getting rid of a hood scoop

I recently bought an 07 mustang with a factory hood scoop, however I much prefer the no scoop look. One body shop told me that I am better of swapping with someone who wants a scoop, and another was going to charge me $800. I know it is an off the wall request, but has anyone have advice for deleting my scoop?

It should be easy to swap hoods with someone, post an ad here or somewhere local and make sure you say what color your car is. If you were in my area and my color I may consider it

$800?? For that price you may as well buy a hood that you like. Finding a trade shouldn't be that difficult

Right now you can get a prepainted (select colors) Foose hood at CDC for $600 plus shipping!

Expensive since there are holes to fill and then most likely a total repaint. I'd definately put yours up for a swap while looking at all of the dead-gorgeous aftermarket hoods out there.

Looks like I have to get my post count up before I can post in the classifieds area. In the meantime if anyone has a Tungsten Grey (T8) hood in the Sacramento area and wants to swap, give me a shout. My car has less than 17K and the hood is in perfect condition.

Thanks for the suggestions.
