Guys,
I am getting ready to purchase window louvers that need to be painted....how many have done this and how difficult is it?

thought about, pay the extra money, have done right. ordered mine pre-painted and cost 350

depends on your skill level I guess. Personally I have very little skill level when it comes to body work. But I bought unpainted louvers, sanded them smooth, primered them, sanded that smooth, applied 3 light coats of color matched paint, sanded that smooth, buffed it out and sprayed on 2 coats of clear, and they look awesome. I'd rather know I did the work on my car rather than buy prepainted parts and bolt em on. Hey, worse comes to worse and you screw it up royally you're out maybe $20 and some time right ? Try it yourself first. If you don't like it you can always have them painted by a pro, who at one time knew nothing about painting.
