looking at it from the rear, I like the no spoiler look...very classy. But looking at it from the side, I think the spoiler is necessary to balance out the front mods

nite.... is your mustang a REAL Shelby GT?

To me it does not look like one..
The hood scoop to me does not look like the ones that come with the Shelby GT.... they always have bolts on them that you can see on every SGT I have ever seen, and I don't see them on yours.

Am I just not seeing the scoop correctly?

I am curious...

Regardless, real SGT or GT it looks nice. You have done good work.
Thanks.

^ thats a good question, it really seems like it could be one even though the scoop isnt the same

Your car is a WIN WIN with or without the spoiler!

hey, thanks for all the advice!

definitely can't do a roush spoiler on a shelby, though it probably would look good.

it's a real sgt, btw; swapped the shelby hood for a stock gt unit, as I didn't want to alter the original to the extent of repainting the scoop. here's what she looked like in march of '08...

thanks again for all of the feedback! right now, I'm agreeing with a few of the guys above and leaning toward no spoiler, so if anyone's interested in a freshly painted LNR spoiler, lmk!

ahhh!!! I'm so conflicted! lol! I almost yanked it off just now, but figured maybe it would be better to hold off to see if it grows on me (sort of a cooling off period).

thanks for the compliments, btw! coming from the owners of the cars in your sigs, I am truly honored.

Dude your car is so nice. Works both way for me. With or without spoiler. Like you just posted, keep it on for a while and wait and see.

I didnt think you could improve a shelby so much.....but you did. Great choices in mods! Awesome!!

to my eyes, totally with that spoiler. But I don't like the lines of the S197 without a spoiler on the rear deck. It looks empty and unfinished. I too prefer the Roush spoiler on a stock S197, but for that Shelby, just how she sits is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing.
