I believe it is illegal to smoke/black out your headlights UNLESS you plan on driving your car during the day, not night. If you drive with it at night, the policia will pull you over and give you a 'fix it' ticket.

In all seriousness and not trying to be a dick but if your lights are on at night how will they know that they are black and especially if you have hid's?

That is a good question. Without HIDs, they will know because the light output is decreased by a lot and it looks like the lights are dimmed. I'm not saying you will not get caught if you have smoked/blacked out headlights with HIDs. You are lowering the chances of getting pulled over, but risking it because you have two things that are illegal (HIDs & Smoked/Blacked out headlights). Unless you have Saleen or Ford Factory HID headlights, then it's just the smoked/blacked out headlight part.

Here's what I mean:

My foglights are smoked out and my headlights are not. Huge difference.

i am sure most people know its illegal but do it anyways, same with side window tint, illegal in allot of places, yet still many do it.
