There are a lot of different grades of vinyl within each manufacturers line.

3M and Oracal both make good vinyls, but it depends on what type you get from them.

3m makes very good vinyl. Im not sure how much your total install is going to be, but don't pay more than 400 for your install and material..

Just as a point of reference, how much does paint usually run or is vinyl the prefered way of adding strips.

Mine was painted, front to back, then shot with 4 coats of clear, 1800.00, after reading stickers on new cars with tape stripes, say do not spray directly water near edge, I said no way pay 400, I'll save up 1400 more and go perm, don't fade, don't have worry about hitting with wax, ect.
, if you look close they are not black, it's black, with bright pearl red overlay, in shade or wrong angle looks black, in sun at differ, angles has a reddish tint, see the close ups.

Paint shops will vary in price. Vinyl is the cheap alternative way many on here do but if I were going to add more strips, it would be painted on. No worries about fading, peeling, chipping or wax getting stuck on the sides. Sure it's more expensive, but it's the best route to go in the long run.
