I had read some horror stories on here where members bought the stick on louvers and/or scoops (be it for your side or for the window) falling off. I know just like with anything, if they are installed properly, it will last but there is always a risk of it falling off not to mention someone stealing them. That's why I went with the SHR brand. Plus they don't stick out and is reminisce of the '68 fastback.
Definitely a newbie when it comes to Mustangs (always liked them, but it took 30 years of driving before I got one of my own - always too many other priorities). Is there any concern that the original glass has to be removed? Or do I misunderstand how these are installed?

If you have a glass shop to remove the ¼ window, there should be no concern. Installing the louver to them is the same process as installing glass.
These louvers were designed with the same dimensions as our ¼ windows, so it fits perfectly.
However, if you are not the faint of heart, you could try doing it yourself. There is a write up on it with pictures and instructions in the "how to" forums. Being that I didn't have the tools and a warm place for it to sit 6-8 hours, I let the pros do it.

He didn't really paint it directly, it's a very faint blue....almost like an over spray but consistent.
I didn't mind since I have blue accents in the car already;

Door Welts or Piping;

Mustang Decal;
