Need help choosing and (finding?) a hood
I've looked around for a few hoods for my Mustang and I really like the GTS Hood http://www.trufiber.com/Trufiber_Mus...f10024-a52.htm . Also, I came across the Super Snake Hood but its a bit too pricey for me. http://www.hillbankmotorsports.com/2...9-mustang.html Anyone know of where I can get a replica (functioning or not) of the same hood? Thanks. I've looked around on the internet but can't seem to find it.
Also, can someone explain the difference between the recessed and normal GTS hoods?

Trufibers venom hoods look basically the same, for a couple hundred cheaper. Also cruizinconcepts sells the GTS hood cheaper and they had the GTSIII on sale for $399 But not sure if its still that price

I checked out the venom hoods but the item description states its for gt500 fascias only on the Trufiber website. Basically, I want something along the lines of the super snake, one big fat vent on the hood. Otherwise I'm gonna go for the GTS Hoods which offer the dual flared nostril look and that looks pretty good too.

Trufiber has a new GTS4 which is the KR/SuperSnake style designed to work on the GT fronts. Not as bold as the GTSIII inlets.
GTS & GTSII's are older units. GTSIII is the most current version of that line and the 4 is of course, the KR/SS look, as I just mentioned.
Recess or not is the hood lock mechanism. If you get the recessed, you need to get the twist pin kit for the twist style hood lock, otherwise its a smooth traditional hood and you can place your own hood PIN.

There's the VIS carbon fiber hood that sells for around $900. http://www.mrbodykit.com/bodykits/ho...-cf_hood_1.jpg
